Asians for Miracle Marrow Matches (A3M) is dedicated to the improvement of the health and welfare of all people by providing education, assistance, and facilitating prompt access to potential marrow and blood cell donors. Six task forces outreach to the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Pilipino, South Asian, & Vietnamese communities. A3M has recruited over 135,000 donors and has endeavored to improve the retention, or sustainability, of donors once they become preliminary matches for patients. In addition to producing translated educational materials focused on donor retention, A3M staff also contacts donors in language once they become potential matches for patients in need.
A3M’s Culturally Appropriate Patient Support Services program provides interpretation services, translated materials, navigation assistance, and other vital support services for patients in urgent need of marrow transplants.
Proceeds from this event will allow A3M to continue helping patients with leukemia and other blood-related illnesses.
